Government Financial Incentives are still available and provides a discount to you through assigning the STCs associated with the system to Captain Green. An STC (Small-scale Technology Certificate) is a renewable energy certificate and works in the same way as a share certificate, representing a specific unit of value or price. It can be traded for a monetary value and its value fluctuates depending on market situations. Captain Green will effectively buy your STCs to help discount the cost of your Solar Panel system by the total STC value. It’s just one extra way that you’re rewarded for going solar. Australia is divided into various zones based on each area’s climate, with every zone having an STC value assigned to them. The value of the zone’s STC will determine what STC discount you will receive off the price of the system.
