Solar Bonus Scheme

The Australian Government have created several schemes to promote and encourage solar power, one such scheme is the Feed-In Tariff where you get paid a premium on the electricity you provide from your solar panels and direct it into the power-grid. With these various incentives, the costs of PV solar systems have come down to the point that many homes and community groups will be able to afford to install PV solar and make a positive contribution to the environment by reducing greenhouse gases and with rebates and Renewable Energy Certificates (REC’s) now is the best time to buy a solar power system.

The Scheme's objectives are to:

• Encourage and support those who want to generate renewable energy as a response to climate change.
• Develop jobs in the renewable energy sector by assisting renewable energy generation to compete with non-renewable energy generation.
• Increase public exposure to renewable energy technology to encourage the whole community to respond to climate change.
